Who we are

This site is an editorial notebook and toolset published by Jana Chander. It includes essays, career pathways, a prompt library, and links to the DataMonk suite of apps. This policy explains what we collect on this website and why.

Information we collect

  • Account details. When you sign in, we store your email address and, if you use a social login, the display name and profile picture that provider shares with us.
  • Content you create. Prompts you write, including their title, text, tags, images, and whether you marked them private or public.
  • Usage data. Basic page views and aggregate counts such as how many times a prompt was copied. We do not build advertising profiles.

How we use it

  • To sign you in and keep your account and content associated with you.
  • To display public prompts with their author's name and avatar.
  • To understand which essays and pathways are useful, in aggregate.
  • To respond to you when you get in touch.

What we never do

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers. Prompts you mark as private stay visible only to you and are not published, listed, or shared.

Storage and security

Accounts, content, and uploaded images are stored with our hosting and database provider using access rules that restrict each record to its owner. Access is protected by authentication, and administrative access is limited to the site owner.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser storage that are necessary for the site to work — chiefly to keep you signed in and to remember your theme preference. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Third-party services

Signing in may involve an identity provider such as Google, which handles your credentials under its own privacy policy. Links to the DataMonk apps lead to a separate product with its own terms and privacy practices.

Your choices

  • Edit or delete any prompt you created at any time from your library.
  • Switch a prompt between private and public whenever you like.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated content by contacting us.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
